·        Grammatical errors

·  Common font size and style to be followed-Times New Roman-14 for headings and 12 for the basic font

·        Only headings and sub-headings should be bold

·  Incomplete resumes and resumes with irrelevant details shouldn’t be submitted

·        Fit the resume in 2 to 3 pages

Career Objective:

·        Should be short, specific and clear

·        Statement started in a general way can’t end in a personal tone

·        Do not copy Career Objective

Educational Summary:

·        Follow the pattern is given in the format

Errors in Project details:

·        Description to be in Simple Present/ Past Tense and brief.

·        Learning’s in bullet points

·        Subheadings and details should be appropriate

Professional Experience:

·        Not to be mentioned if there’s no work experience or if it is irrelevant.

Achievements:

·        Mention from Engineering to 10^th std.

·        Academic as well as extracurricular can be mentioned.

Participations:

·        In reverse order-latest to previous

·        Mention the participation in all the activities separate with all details

Improper headings

·        Confusion in professional experience and technical training.

·        Workshops attended to be mentioned under a separate heading

·        Project, technical courses and extra-curricular activities not to be clubbed

Personal Details:

·        Proper spacing

Strengths:

·        Mention only qualities. Don’t use sentences.

Declaration:

·        Should be as per the resume format

·        Signature not to be mentioned. Sign and put your full name in a bracket under that.
